This resin set holds the cover of the engine compartment draped with a canvas for the Soviet ZIL-131 truck. It is a detail accessory that gives a model a realistic look with faithfully cast folds and the texture of the canvas fabric, not a kit of the whole vehicle.
The ZIL-131 was a Soviet off-road truck with all-wheel drive, widely used by the army and in civilian life alike. A canvas draped over the engine compartment protected the machinery from the weather. The soft folds and the sag of the canvas can be rendered far more realistically in resin than in rigid plastic.
Wash the part free of release agent, separate it from the casting block and glue it on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bring the canvas out by lightening the edges with a dry brush and with filters to stress the texture of the fabric; suggest the settled dust with pigments.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
