Wing gun barrels for the A-26 Invader in 1:48 scale are a resin accessory from Quickboost intended as a swap for the plastic parts from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft kit. The set replaces the gun barrels mounted in the wing of the American Douglas A-26 Invader attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. On parts this thin, injection-molded plastic always has a parting line that can only be leveled at the cost of losing the circular section; a resin casting removes that compromise.
The Douglas A-26 Invader was a twin-engined attack aircraft of the end of the Second World War which, thanks to its solid structure and good performance, stayed in active service for many years afterwards. Besides the armament in the nose, a number of machines also carried weapons in the wing, which from the front forms a prominent line of small details. On a model these barrels are one of the features that immediately give away the quality of the build when you look at the leading edge.
Before you start, sort the parts into pairs for the left and the right wing and lay them out on a light surface, so that the small castings do not get lost. Widen the holes in the wing with a drill turned in your fingers, not with a power drill, which will cut through the thin wall. Fit the barrels dry and check that they are parallel and project equally, and only then secure them with a drop of super glue. After a primer, a dark metallic shade, fine lightening of the muzzles and finally unification with a matte clear coat work well, so that the sheen of the barrels does not jump out from the rest of the wing.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
