This is a set of painting masks, not a model of the vehicle. The masks from the manufacturer Solid Scale serve for the accurate spraying of the characteristic Chinese digital camouflage onto a model of the ZTZ-96B tank in 1:35 scale. With them you create sharp and repeatable edges of the pattern, which are practically impossible to manage with a brush or freehand.
The digital camouflage of the ZTZ-96B tank is made up of overlapping fields of several colors and is very hard to spray by hand. The set of masks splits the pattern into layers that you apply in stages, color by color. The result is a clean, geometrically accurate camouflage with no outlining by hand.
First spray the model with the base color of the pattern and let it dry thoroughly. Lay the masks onto a smooth, clean and degreased surface and press the edges down carefully, so that the paint does not bleed under them. Spray thin coats and remove the mask while the paint is still fresh, so that the previous color is not pulled away. Work in layers from the lighter to the darker shades.
