The set holds six miniature injection-molded models of the BFC carrier bomber-fighter in 1:350 scale. It serves as an accessory to a model of an American aircraft carrier - you can place the aircraft on the deck or in the hangar. Decals with US Navy markings are included.
The Curtiss BFC was based on the F11C Goshawk biplane. It was a single-engine biplane with fixed landing gear which, with the US Navy, filled the role of a bomber-fighter, that is a fighter also able to carry a bomb load. It served in the first half of the 1930s.
The struts of the biplane are very fine in this scale, so work with tweezers and liquid cement for plastic. For the period finish, gloss yellow upper wing surfaces and the colored fuselage bands of American carrier service work well. The models can also be painted while on the sprue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
