Turned brass barrels for the British 2-pounder pom-pom 40 mm Mark VIII in 1:350 scale from MASTER. Accurate metal barrels (20 pieces) as a detail replacement for the plastic parts; it is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from MASTER contains 20 turned brass barrels for the British anti-aircraft gun of 40 mm caliber, known as the 2-pounder pom-pom, in the Mark VIII version, in 1:350 scale. The metal barrels replace the softer and coarser plastic parts of the kit and give the model a sharper and truer look to the muzzles. It is a detail accessory, not a ship model.
The QF 2-pounder gun, nicknamed pom-pom after the characteristic sound of its shots, was the standard British rapid-fire anti-aircraft gun of 40 mm caliber in the Second World War. The Mark VIII version was fitted in multiple mountings (eight-barrel and four-barrel ones) that protected battleships, cruisers and aircraft carriers against attack from low altitude. A large supply of rounds allowed long bursts without reloading.
Separate the barrels carefully from the casting block with a sharp knife or a file, clean them up and glue them on with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the brass before painting and apply a primer for metal surfaces; the paint is best sprayed with an airbrush. Combining them with photo-etched mountings raises the fidelity further.
This is a metal detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
