A set of turned metal barrels for the model of the British battlecruiser HMS Repulse in 1:350 scale from MASTER. It holds 6 barrels of the main 381 mm caliber (15 inch), 6 barrels of 102 mm caliber (4 inch) of the QF type and 9 barrels of 102 mm caliber of the BL type. Turned metal gives a straight bore and a crisp muzzle that plastic parts cannot render faithfully.
HMS Repulse was a British battlecruiser of the Renown class. She combined heavy 381 mm armament with high speed. Together with the battleship Prince of Wales she was sunk by Japanese aircraft off Malaya in December 1941 – the first capital ships sunk on the open sea by air attack alone.
Separate the barrels from the gate, adjust the seating pin and glue them in with cyanoacrylate glue. Tell the QF and BL types of the 102 mm caliber apart from the kit instructions. Apply a primer to the metal before painting.
The set serves as a turned replacement for parts of the base kit; on its own it is not a ship model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
