A plastic kit of the British battleship HMS King George V from Tamiya in 1:350 scale. The model faithfully captures the characteristic flat front of the superstructure and the shape of the stern; the package holds injection-molded plastic parts, a display stand and a nameplate. It is a full-hull model of proven design.
HMS King George V was the lead ship of the class of battleships of the same name that formed the backbone of the Royal Navy in the Second World War. She carried ten 14 inch guns, sixteen 5.25 inch guns and an extensive anti-aircraft armament. Among other actions she took part in the hunt for the Bismarck and in escorting the Arctic convoys.
Build the large model in sections — the hull, the decks, the superstructure, the funnels and the gun turrets. Use a thin cement for plastic and masked coats through an airbrush following the period camouflage scheme. We recommend a primer underneath and fine strips and railings; you can bring out the deck with glazes and a wash. The model is full-hull and you display it on the enclosed stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
