This set holds several small plastic models of the Curtiss SB2C Helldiver carrier dive bomber in 1:350 scale. The little aircraft are pre-painted from the factory and are intended to fill the deck of an aircraft carrier model, not as a large standalone model. Decals, which are applied afterwards, tend to be included. Some of the pieces allow folded wings for realistic parking on deck.
The Curtiss SB2C Helldiver was an American carrier dive bomber deployed in the second half of the Second World War in the Pacific. It replaced the older Dauntless and operated from the decks of Essex class aircraft carriers. It carried both bomb and torpedo armament and took part in key naval operations against the Japanese fleet.
Thanks to the pre-painting the set is quick to finish, yet it still pays to unify the shade with a thin coat and to fine-tune the detail. Separate the small parts carefully with a sharp knife and glue with superglue. Folded wings make it possible to create a lively scene on deck. Apply decals onto a smooth glossy surface.
The model is supplied unassembled, pre-painted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
