A set of fourteen turned metal barrels in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker Aber. They replace the plastic barrels of the guns of 152 mm caliber on models of the Japanese battleships Kongo, Haruna, Hiei, Kirishima, Fuso and Yamashiro. It is a detail accessory, not a model of a ship.
The 152 mm caliber served as the secondary armament of a number of Japanese battleships. The turned barrels capture the slender profile and the muzzle more faithfully than injection-molded plastic and raise the realism of a whole model.
Cut the plastic barrels off and replace them with the metal parts. Square up the ends, degrease the brass and roughen it lightly, then glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay down a primer suitable for metals before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
