A set of sixteen turned metal barrels in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker Aber. They replace the plastic barrels of the guns of 102 mm caliber of the BL Mk.IX type on models of Royal Navy ships. It is a detail accessory, not a model of a ship.
Guns of 102 mm caliber were among the widespread secondary and dual-purpose armament of British vessels. The turned barrels render the profile, the muzzle and the stepped shape of the real guns better than injection-molded plastic.
Cut the plastic barrels off and replace them with the metal parts. Square up the ends, degrease the brass and roughen it lightly, then glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay down a primer suitable for metals before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
