The kit captures the American aircraft carrier USS Saratoga CV-3 in 1:350 scale. The model from the manufacturer Trumpeter can be built as a full hull on a stand or as a waterline, and an air group for filling the deck comes with it. Given the dimensions of the real ship, this is a large model.
USS Saratoga was an American aircraft carrier of the Lexington class, converted from a hull originally laid down as a battlecruiser. She was one of the first large American aircraft carriers; she was marked out by a long flight deck, a massive funnel and a large hull. The ship served in the interwar period and in the Second World War.
Count on having enough room, given the length of the hull and the flight deck. Glue the plastic with a thin cement and sand the long seams of the hull and the deck carefully. Glue the aircraft and the fine parts with cyanoacrylate glue. The painting can be handled with an airbrush; a primer, graded shades of the deck and the hull and final accenting of the detail all work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
