A finished collector model of the Skoda 1201 of 1956 in the taxi version and in the turquoise shade, 1:43 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Skoda 1201 was a utility-minded range from the 1950s that almost everyone in Czechoslovakia came across. It carried customers as a taxi, served as an ambulance, a van and a company car, and stayed in service for many years. That is exactly why it is a rewarding subject for collectors today: it is not a show piece but a car from everyday life.
The model offered captures the car in the taxi version in the turquoise shade, in 1:43 scale. That is the most widespread collector scale for cars, so the model fits into a collection alongside other cars without difficulty. It is supplied finished: nothing is glued, built or painted.
The model looks best in a display case or on a shelf out of direct sunlight. Longer exposure gradually changes the shade and the painted surface suffers from it. Wipe dust off with a soft brush or a dry microfiber cloth, not with a damp wipe; solvents and cleaners do not belong on printed markings and fine parts. Pick the model up by the body, not by the mirrors, the wipers and other thin parts.
It will be picked up by collectors of Czechoslovak automotive subjects, lovers of the history of the taxi trade and modelers looking for a finished car for a diorama from the 1950s without building one. It also serves well as a gift with a touch of nostalgia for the cars of the period.
This is a finished collector model; you need neither paints nor glue to get it ready, unless stated otherwise.
