This product is a finished collector's model, not a kit. It is supplied completely assembled, painted and printed in the rally livery, so once unpacked it heads straight for the display case. The model is released by the Czech maker Abrex and captures the Skoda 200RS of 1974 as it lined up for the Rallye Sumava 1975 with start number 89 and the crew Sedivy and Janecek. The materials used, the range of opening parts and the dimensions are given by the manufacturer on the packaging of the model.
The Skoda 200RS was a rally version built at the Mlada Boleslav car works in the first half of the 1970s. It was a two-door coupe with a strengthened body, a reworked chassis and a more powerful engine; only a handful were completed, and it served as a development step before the brand's better-known later rally line. Cars of this type started in domestic and international rallies and to this day belong among the most followed chapters of Czech motoring history.
The model is a finished product with fine rally printing, which is best not washed, varnished over or covered with decals. Remove dust with a soft brush or compressed air at low pressure, and do not use solvents on the printing. Store it out of direct sunlight so that the colors do not fade, and when handling it hold the model by the chassis or the roof. Collectors often line up models of the same car from different events side by side, so that the differences in numbers and liveries can be seen.
