A collector's model of the Skoda Yeti compact SUV after the 2013 update, reduced to 1:43 scale, in the metallic green shade Cosmic. The model is finished, assembled and painted, ready to go straight into a display case — it is not a kit. The color finish is what sets this model apart from other models of the Yeti FL.
The Yeti was the first production SUV from the Mlada Boleslav marque and from the outset it bet on practicality rather than style: an angular body, good visibility and versatile rear seats. The 2013 update brought the vehicle into line with the design of the marque at the time — a new nose, reworked headlights and a reworked rear — and split the range into a city and a more off-road variant. The FL abbreviation in the name of the model refers to exactly this updated guise. Cosmic is a green metallic shade from the marque's paint range of the time.
Metallic paint on models in 1:43 scale shows to advantage in diffused light, where the depth of the effect particles comes out on the edges of the body. Do not hide the model away in shadow, then, but neither expose it to direct sunlight, which changes the saturation of the color over time. Handle it by the chassis or through a soft cloth — metallic paints are less prone to fingerprints than solid ones, but grease is harder to remove from them. Wipe the dust off with a soft brush or compressed air.
This is a finished collector's model, not a kit. It is not intended as a toy for small children.
