A photo-etched set of seatbelts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Douglas A-26 Invader in the B version, in 1:48 scale. The STEEL version means steel photo-etch with color printing and a self-adhesive layer: the belts hold the shape of a bend better and look more realistic than brass ones.
The Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engine light bomber and ground-attack aircraft used from the latter part of the Second World War. Faithful seatbelts are among the most noticeable details of the crew compartment interior.
Separate the belts from the fret carefully; the steel material is easy to shape into a realistic sag and it sticks with the self-adhesive layer. The color printing usually needs no painting, and a light highlighting of the edges is enough. A drop of cyanoacrylate glue can be added for a firmer bond.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
