1:48 AF-2S Guardian markings airbrush mask

Grumman AF-2S Guardian masks for the markings 1:48 (MH models)

A set of airbrush masks from MH models for spraying the markings and the national insignia onto a model of the American carrier-based Grumman AF-2S Guardian anti-submarine aircraft in 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane model but a painting aid. The masks are pre-cut from a clinging masking film and they let you spray the symbols and the lettering instead of applying decals.

The real subject

The Grumman AF Guardian was an American carrier-based aircraft of the late 1940s and early 1950s used for anti-submarine warfare. The AF-2S version carried the armament and a searchlight, and it complemented the radar variant as one of a pair. The masks respect the shape of the period markings of this type.

Use

• Stick the pre-cut masks onto the places of the insignia and the lettering
• Spray the paint with an airbrush, with sharply outlined edges
• Peel the masks off once the paint has dried to reveal clean symbols

Who the set is for

The accessory will appeal to modelers who want their national insignia and markings sprayed in paint for a more convincing and more durable result than decals give.

This is a painting aid, not a model in its own right. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
