This set contains precisely pre-cut self-adhesive masks that make it easier to spray a multicolor camouflage scheme onto a model of the F/A-18 aircraft in 1:48 scale. The masks follow the boundaries of the individual color fields exactly, so the slow work of measuring and masking off by hand with tape falls away.
The procedure is simple: the masks are applied over a surface that has already been sprayed, the next shade is sprayed over them, and once the masks are lifted, sharp, clean transitions remain. This is scheme number 2 from the range of masking patterns for this type of aircraft.
The result is even and repeatable masking even on more complicated shapes, which are otherwise hard to manage freehand.
