Smer Albatros D III in 1:48 scale is an injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter biplane of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from Smer captures the German Albatros D.III biplane of the First World War in 1:48 scale. It is an undemanding model based on an older mold, containing injection-molded plastic and a decal sheet. It makes a good way into building period biplanes.
The Albatros D.III was a German fighter biplane of the First World War with a characteristic slender fuselage and a lower wing of smaller chord. It was powered by an inline engine and was among the most widespread fighters of its day on the Western and the Eastern Front alike. A number of well-known German pilots flew it.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; with an older mold expect more careful cleaning up and test fitting. The biplane layout calls for patience when gluing the interplane struts and adding any rigging. The wooden surfaces of the fuselage can be suggested with a glaze over a light base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
