A self-adhesive mask set from the Czech maker Eduard for models of the BAe Harrier GR.1 and GR.3 in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft or a set of parts — these are machine-cut masks that during painting cover the areas which are to stay free of paint, above all the cockpit glazing. The material is modeling masking tape, which holds on the surface but comes off after spraying without damaging the finish.
The Harrier GR.1 and the GR.3 derived from it were British single-seat attack aircraft with vertical or short takeoff and landing, built around the vectored thrust of a jet engine. The intricate framing of the cockpit is one of their characteristic features — and at the same time what makes masking by hand a lengthy business.
Make sure beforehand that the set matches the kit you are building — the masks are cut to one particular shape of glazing. The package does not contain paints or glue.
