The second part of a set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the British manufacturer Xtradecal, intended for the Jet Provost basic jet trainer in the T.5 version. It follows on from the first part and extends the range of markings with further machines. Both sheets can be used on their own. The product is an accessory for a finished model.
The Jet Provost was a British two-seat jet trainer with side-by-side seats, which made the instructor's work with the pupil easier. The T.5 version brought a pressurized cockpit and a reshaped nose, thanks to which training at greater altitudes became possible. The machines served with training units for many years and wore both the bold, conspicuous schemes for good visibility in the air and, later, less conspicuous finishes.
Trainers tend to be glossy, which changes the final stage of the work. Once the decals are dry, go over the model with clear gloss varnish in thin coats; one heavy coat would make the edge of the film underneath it even more noticeable. If the surface is to be semi-gloss or matte, apply the matting varnish only at the very end, after any emphasizing of the panel lines. Before varnishing, make sure the model is free of dust, and lay the varnish on in several light passes rather than in one saturated coat.
The package contains decals only. The model, paints and varnishes are not part of it.
