A second masking set for the late Bf 109G-10 in 1:48 scale. Besides films for the cockpit and the national insignia it contains metal muzzles for the onboard machine guns and the tube of the airspeed sensor.
Responsibility details are not available.
The last production Messerschmitt was built at several companies at once and the individual batches differed from one another in small things which are surprisingly visible on a model: in the shape of the cockpit canopy, in the height of the vertical tail and in the arrangement of the tailwheel cover. That is precisely why two separate sets came out for this type, whose cuts are worked out for different moldings.
The contents correspond to the fuller of the two. The films cover the glazing from both sides, two masks for the fuselage crosses are enclosed and metal comes with them: a pair of MG 131 muzzles for above the cowling and the tube of the airspeed sensor on the leading edge.
It is worth thinking about where the model will end up. In a display case above eye level and behind glass the small muzzles disappear and the difference from carefully drilled plastic will not be seen. A model that is picked up or photographed close up, by contrast, gives every blind opening away at once. The tube of the airspeed sensor has one more advantage besides appearance: a thin plastic molding commonly breaks off at the first careless grip, whereas a metal one only bends and can be straightened with your fingers.
