1:48 Boulton Paul Defiant - Night predators of the RAF

Boulton Paul Defiant - Night predators of the RAF decal set 1:48 (ROP o.s.)

A separate decal set (aftermarket markings) on the theme of Night predators of the RAF in 1:48 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s. It contains waterslide decals - national insignia and personal markings - for the British Boulton Paul Defiant fighter in the night fighter role. This is an accessory for a model, NOT an aircraft kit: you use the set on your own Defiant kit in this scale.

The subject

The Boulton Paul Defiant was a British fighter of the Second World War with an unusual concept: it carried all its armament in a powered dorsal turret with four machine guns and had no fixed forward-firing guns. As a day fighter it soon failed, but it proved itself as a night fighter during the raids on Britain, hunting bombers in the dark. The set offers the attractive dark night schemes of these Royal Air Force machines.

Use

• dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water and let it release from the backing
• slide it onto the gloss (varnish-prepared) surface of the model and position it
• use a softener so that the decal settles into the engraved lines
• once dry, go over it with a clear varnish for protection and an even sheen

This is a separate decal set. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
