An Aber 1:48 photo-etched detail set for the Cromwell Mk.IV — vol. 1, the basic set is a group of brass parts for refining a plastic model of the British cruiser tank. It is an accessory to the build, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A basic photo-etched set from the Polish maker Aber in 1:48 scale intended for models of the British Cromwell Mk.IV cruiser tank. The set holds the main part of the detail for completing a model and forms the base that the further additional sets in the same range follow on from. It is not a kit of the tank but an added detail accessory.
The Cromwell was a British cruiser tank of the Second World War powered by the capable Rolls-Royce Meteor engine, which made it one of the fastest tanks of its day. The Mk.IV version carried the 75 mm ROQF gun and was widely used in Normandy in 1944.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors and make the bends on a bending tool. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a base coat. Working with photo-etch is better suited to more experienced modelers.
This is an accessory, not the model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
