A decal sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models in 1:48 scale for a model of the Ilyushin Il-10 ground attack aircraft in its late pattern. According to the name this is the second part of the set, which belongs to six camouflage schemes. The sheet is applied to a finished, sprayed model.
With larger decal sets the contents are commonly divided over two sheets, because all the schemes and the technical lettering will not fit on one. Go through the enclosed drawing before building, then, and check which items the chosen scheme needs and whether they are here or in the first part of the set.
The Ilyushin Il-10 is a two-seat ground attack aircraft following on from the earlier Il-2. It has an all-metal structure, cleaner aerodynamics and better flying qualities than its predecessor while keeping the armor protection of the crew and the powerplant. The type stayed in service long after 1945 and was also built under license outside its country of origin.
Varnish the base with gloss clear coat; on a matte surface a decal will silver. Soak the cut-out decal briefly in lukewarm water, slide it into place once it releases and fine-tune the position with a damp brush. Soak the surplus water up with a cloth, and at engraving and rivets help it with a softener. Once it has dried perfectly, unify the model with a matte or satin varnish.
