A waterslide decal sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the G-10 version, 1:48 scale. The G-10 is among the late patterns of the G family, with a revised powerplant and characteristic fairings on the upper fuselage. The product is an accessory for a model that is already built and painted, not a kit.
The sheet brings markings for machines of the G-10 version: national insignia, individual codes and supplementary lettering. The printing is done on a thin carrier film, which is lost to the eye once the decal is settled and varnished over, so the markings do not read as a film stuck on. The particular layout of the sheet and an overview of the variants offered are given on the sheet of schemes that comes with the package.
First varnish the area under the decal with gloss clear coat. Cut the design out closely, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until the carrier film releases from the backing. Then slide it onto the dampened place, fine-tune the position with a soft brush and soak the surplus water up with absorbent paper. Use a softener on the engraved lines and panel joints, so that the film pulls onto the surface. Once it has dried perfectly, unify the model with a matte or semi-matte varnish.
