This product is not an aircraft model but an accessory for superdetailing the cockpit. It contains color 3D-printed interior detail on backing decal paper, reproducing the instrument panels, the side consoles and the panels of the crew compartment in relief and in faithful color. It is neither conventional etch nor cast resin, and yet the interior looks realistic without demanding painting.
The Dornier Do 335 Pfeil was a German fighter of the end of the Second World War with an unusual tandem arrangement of two engines, a tractor one in the nose and a pusher one in the tail. The A-10 variant was a two-seat trainer version with a second cockpit, which makes fitting out the interior rewarding work.
The part is cut out of the sheet, soaked in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds and slid off the backing paper onto the plastic part. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on a layer of gloss clear coat (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22); on complex areas a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. A sharp knife, tweezers and a degreased surface are recommended.
This is an accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
