Decals for the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2/G-4 1:48 from HAD models. The sheet offers two camouflage schemes for models of the early versions of the G family.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models in 1:48 scale for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the G-2 and G-4 versions. According to the name it holds two camouflage schemes. It is neither a kit nor a finished model: it is an accessory in its own right with which you mark a model built from a separately sold set.
The G-2 and G-4 versions were among the first batches of the G family and differ from the later machines in a smooth forward fuselage with no pronounced bulged fairings over the guns. The differences between the two variants lay above all in the onboard equipment and in details of the landing gear, while in shape they are very close to one another, which is why they often appear together on a decal sheet. Power came from an inverted V12 Daimler-Benz engine of the 605 series.
The base has to be smooth and glossy, as matte paint lifts the film and the edges silver. Cut the design out as close to the printing as possible, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest on the paper backing until the film moves freely. A decal softener will help draw the film onto the engraved lines and onto the fabric surfaces of the control surfaces; on the larger designs press the water out with a soft cloth from the center toward the edges. Finally seal everything with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
The package holds the decal sheet only. The model, paints and varnishes are not included.
