E wing armament (late version) for the British Spitfire Mk.22/24 fighter (1:48) from Aber. A metal accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft kit but a metal detail accessory. The set contains turned brass barrels of the late form of the E wing, that is, four 20mm Hispano cannons, with which the last piston-engined Spitfires were armed. It replaces the plastic barrels with faithful metal.
The late Spitfire Mk.22 and Mk.24 versions with the Griffon engine gave up the combination of cannons and machine guns and carried four 20mm Hispano cannons in the wings. The longer barrels are characteristic of these machines.
Cut off the plastic barrels, drill the holes and glue the turned parts in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Watch the parallelism and the equal overhang of all the barrels.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
