Eduard 1:48 F-15E TFace is a double-sided masking set: it holds masks for the outside and the inside of the canopy glazing of the F-15E model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the model of the two-seat F-15E in 1:48 scale. The TFace designation means that the set holds masks not only for the outside but also for the inside of the glazing. The canopy frames can then be sprayed from both sides and no bare clear plastic is left showing when you look in from inside. The masks are cut from kabuki tape, follow curved surfaces well and leave no adhesive behind when they are removed.
The F-15E is the two-seat multirole version of the F-15 fighter, intended for all-weather attacks on ground targets. The weapon systems operator sits at the rear, so the cockpit has a split canopy and fairly busy framing. A model in 1:48 scale is large enough for the inside of the frames to be clearly visible when you look into the cockpit, and that is exactly what a double-sided set solves.
Apply the inner masks first and spray the frames in the interior color, and only then move to the outside and the external shade. Degrease the glazing beforehand, press the masks down with a cotton bud and lay the paint on in thin coats. With the inner masks take care that they line up exactly with the outer ones, otherwise you will end up with a frame of uneven width. Remove the masks shortly after the last coat has dried.
The set holds masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
