Flightline steel trailer, USAF/NATO, in 1:48 scale is a resin set of an airfield steel trailer from Aerobonus. It is an accessory for dioramas, not a model of an aircraft.

A set of castings in modeling resin from which you build a steel flightline trailer used on the bases of the US Air Force and in NATO countries. It is not a kit of an aircraft nor part of one: it is a separate accessory for dioramas and display cases. A trailer like this on the ramp tells at once that work is going on around the aircraft: it carries tools, equipment, intake covers or material for preparing an aircraft for its next takeoff. In 1:48 scale it complements a model well in both size and the complexity of its structure.
Flightline trailers of this type are a simple towed structure of steel sections with a platform, side rails and a steerable front axle with an eye for hitching behind a tractor. On bases they are used in whole rows one behind another and they serve to move practically anything that has to be carried across the ramp. Because this is standardized ground equipment, you will meet them with aircraft of the most varied types and in a whole range of countries of the alliance, which for a modeler means that the same accessory suits many different scenes and periods.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, so that the mold release agent disappears. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc; the thin sections of the frame are fragile, so never nip them off with pliers. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray a primer before painting. Flightline trailers are usually heavily worn, so it pays to work with scuffed edges, rust where the paint has flaked away, greasy patches on the platform and dust on the wheels and the underside. A restrained dark wash will bring out the structure of the frame.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
