This is a sheet of waterslide decals from Eduard, that is a printed accessory, not a photo-etched or resin set. It contains national insignia for a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-6 in 1:48 scale and is used wherever the decals from the kit will not do — whether because of the thickness of the carrier film, the saturation of the colors, or because they have cracked after years in storage.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was a single-engine fighter with a radial engine. The A-6 version belongs to the A series and differed from the earlier machines in modifications to the wing and the armament. What matters for a modeler is that the various sub-versions had a different layout of panels, so the markings are placed on the fuselage and the wing according to the particular variant.
Cut the decal out as close to the artwork as you can. Put it into lukewarm water for a few seconds — the aim is only to wet the adhesive, not to wash it away — and let it rest on absorbent paper. As soon as the artwork can be slid across the backing, transfer it onto the model with a soft flat brush and guide it into place. Blot the excess water away with a paper towel by pressing, not wiping, so that the decal does not shift. Then let the area dry completely and only afterwards apply a decal softener.
This is an accessory to a build, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
