A decal sheet in 1:48 scale with markings for Fw 190 A-3 and A-4 fighters of Jagdgeschwader 5.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fw 190 is a German single-seat fighter of the Second World War with a radial engine, wide-track landing gear and a stocky nose that cannot be confused with the slimmer machines with liquid-cooled engines. The A-3 and A-4 versions belong to the early A series, whose machines differ from one another mainly in equipment rather than in the shape of the airframe. The markings on the sheet belong to aircraft of Jagdgeschwader 5, a fighter wing of the Luftwaffe.
Markings and lettering for models of the Fw 190 A-3 and A-4 in 1:48 scale. Which particular machines are covered, what numbers they carry and what their finish looked like are given in the instructions for the sheet. Use those to check as well that the markings suit the kit you are building.
Proceed in the usual wet way: cut the element out, dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide on the paper. The surface should be smooth and coated with gloss varnish, or air will be left under the decal and the edges will go white once dry. Once it is in place, press the water out with a soft cloth from the center to the edges and let the area dry undisturbed; over rivets and engraving a decal softener helps. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive type. A soaked self-adhesive film is ruined for good, whereas a wet decal can still be soaked later.
The model, paints, varnish and decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
