Fw 190D-9 with a Ta 152 tail (upgrade set) 1:48 is a resin set from the brand AML that replaces the tail section of an Fw 190D-9 model with the lengthened Ta 152 type fin.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model but a resin set for experienced modelers. It makes it possible to fit an Fw 190D-9 model with the taller vertical tail surface taken over from the Ta 152 type, as it appeared on some late machines. The package contains resin tail parts and a decal sheet with markings for one version.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 was a high-altitude fighter of the late Second World War with the inverted V12 Jumo 213 engine. Part of the late production was completed with features shared with the Ta 152 type, among them the taller vertical tail surface. It is precisely this characteristic modification that the set captures faithfully.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Before bonding with super glue (cyanoacrylate), check the fit dry at the point of the cut on the fuselage. Fill and sand the transitions so that the fin runs smoothly into the fuselage.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit in its own right. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
