The Hauler German 2 t auxiliary jib crane 1:48 resin accessory is a field lifting device for scenes from a workshop or a repair unit. It is not a model of a vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small set of resin castings from the Czech maker Hauler in 1:48 scale. It represents a German auxiliary jib crane with a capacity of two tons, that is, a simple lifting device of the kind used by field workshops and repair crews. It is not a kit of a vehicle or a model in its own right but an accessory that rounds out a scene around equipment under repair.
Field repair units needed to lift engines, gearboxes and other units straight out in the open, away from workshop buildings. Auxiliary cranes of this class were therefore built simply, so that they could be taken apart, and with capacities of a few tons. They were assembled on the spot, often beside a vehicle or over equipment taken apart, and once the work was finished they were folded up again and taken away.
First wash the small resin parts in warm water with detergent, so that no release agent is left on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and preferably in stages; fine sections break easily. It is bonded with super glue; on thin joints the gel version helps, as it gives a few seconds to line things up. The steel structure can be treated as painted or as worn; traces of corrosion are easily done by stippling rust and then blending it out. On a crane it is rewarding to add a cable of your own from thin wire or thread.
This is an accessory for a build, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
