FLY 1:48 Grunau Baby IIb Czechoslovakia is a kit of the classic training glider in Czechoslovak markings.
Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run plastic kit of the widespread German Grunau Baby IIb training glider, in 1:48 scale, in a version with Czechoslovak decals. FLY is a Czech maker of short-run models. The package makes it possible to build a static model of this unpowered glider.
The Grunau Baby was a single-seat training glider designed in Germany in the 1930s. Its durable wooden frame covered in fabric and its easy handling made it one of the most widely used gliders of its era, and it served on Czechoslovak gliding fields as well. As an unpowered machine it was intended for the basic training of glider pilots.
Clean up the thin parts and the struts carefully and dry-fit them. Use thin cement for plastic and fine sanding. The large area of the wings benefits from a good primer and an even coat sprayed with an airbrush. Mask the cockpit glazing and paint the interior before closing the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
