1:48 Heinkel He-111 P in Hungarian Service

Heinkel He-111 P in Hungarian service 1:48 (SBS Model)

This set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from SBS Model brings markings for the German twin-engined bomber the Heinkel He-111 in the P version in the colors of the Hungarian Air Force. It is an accessory to a plastic model of this aircraft, with which a base kit can be supplemented with authentic national insignia.

The real subject

The Heinkel He-111 was one of the main German medium bombers of the Second World War, easily recognizable by its fully glazed nose. The P version was powered by Daimler-Benz engines. Hungary used these machines in the period around the start of the war and the aircraft carried Hungarian national insignia.

Application tips

Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish, which prevents the film from silvering. For a perfect fit to the glazed nose and the broken-up surfaces use a decal softener and a decal fixer. Once they have dried, overcoat the model with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
