Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks in kabuki tape for a model of the Grumman HU-16A Albatross amphibian aircraft in 1:48 scale. The masks make it easier to spray the frames of the glazed cockpit and the wheel discs cleanly, without laborious cutting. It is not a kit — it is an accessory used while painting a finished or part-built model. Eduard is a Czech maker of modeling accessories.
The Grumman HU-16 Albatross was a large amphibian aircraft (a flying boat) with two radial engines. It was intended above all for search and rescue duties over the sea and for transport flights as well. Thanks to a hull shaped like a boat it could alight on water and land on the ground.
The pre-cut masks in self-adhesive kabuki tape are stuck onto the cockpit glazing and onto the wheel discs, pressed into the engraved lines of the frames with a pointed wooden stick, and then the area is sprayed. Once the paint has dried the tape is lifted off and the framing stays clean and crisp. An airbrush gives an even coat. The masks will bound the extensive cockpit glazing accurately.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package and are obtained separately.
