A conversion set in 1:48 scale for the reconnaissance version of the Swedish Saab 29 Tunnan jet aircraft. According to the name it is prepared for the AZ Model kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Saab 29 Tunnan was a Swedish jet aircraft of the end of the 1940s, one of the first European machines with a swept wing. The nickname Tunnan means barrel in Swedish and refers to the bulky fuselage. Beside the fighter versions a reconnaissance version also arose, which had photographic equipment in the nose instead of armament; the nose therefore differs in shape from the fighter form, and it is precisely this difference that the conversion set deals with.
This is a conversion set in 1:48 scale, that is the parts with which a kit is converted to a different version of the aircraft. According to the name it is prepared for the kit from the AZ Model brand. A conversion set cannot do without cutting into the plastic: some of the original parts are cut away and replaced. The extent of the parts and the exact procedure are given in the supplier's instructions.
Lead the cut a little away from the target edge and sand the remainder down; material can always be taken off, added less easily. Try the parts dry at the joint before you reach for the glue, and fill any gap with filler. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts, which is given in the supplier's instructions; cyanoacrylate glue holds on most materials, cement for polystyrene only on plastic.
This is an accessory for a kit. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
