This item is an aftermarket accessory for a model you buy separately, not a kit of the vehicle. It is meant for the kit of the Japanese Komatsu LAV light armored vehicle from Tamiya in 1:48 scale. It is made by the Czech brand Hauler.
Compared with tanks, light armored vehicles have fewer massive shapes and all the more small things: folding frames, light guards, door hinges, steps, equipment brackets, cooling grilles and eyes. In 1:48 scale all these elements are at the limit of what a mold can impress, so in a kit they tend to be simplified or merely suggested by engraving. Photo-etched sheet replaces them with a part that has a thickness correct for the scale and genuine perforation. The difference tells most on the edges and in places where there should be a gap between a part and the body.
Separate the parts on glass or on a cutting mat with a scalpel, not with pliers. Then level the fret tabs with a needle file, drawing from the edge inwards. Run the bends along the etched line, ideally in a bender; the smaller angles you can manage with tweezers against the edge of a ruler. Degrease the whole sheet and the parts with spirit before gluing. Apply super glue in a slight amount with the tip of a piece of wire; a surplus goes white and shows even under the paint. Coat the metal parts with a primer meant for metal, and only then with paint. When weathering, reckon with the fact that metal cools faster than plastic and a wash dries differently on it, so work in thin coats.
