The fabric cockpit seatbelts HGW 1:48 Lavochkin La-5/La-7 replace plastic or decal belts with faithful fabric parts of microtextile with photo-etched fittings.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail set of cockpit seat belts, not a model of the airplane. The universal set covers the Soviet fighters Lavochkin La-5 and La-7 in 1:48 scale. It replaces flat plastic or decal belts with parts of real microtextile completed by photo-etched buckles.
The Lavochkin La-5 and its development, the La-7, were among the most successful Soviet fighters of the Second World War. They were powered by a radial engine and their structure made extensive use of wood. They excelled above all in combat at low and medium altitude, and the most successful Soviet fighter pilots flew them. In their cockpits the seat belts were clearly visible.
Choose the shade of the belt, cut the parts out along the marked line with a sharp knife and then shorten them to the length needed. Work the fabric briefly between your fingers so that it takes on natural folds, and thread it through the photo-etched buckles. Glue with PVA glue (white glue) and do not use super glue or any other aggressive glue, which could damage the fabric or the plastic.
This is not a complete model. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as an accessory to a base model.
