A set of painting masks from the Czech maker New Ware intended for a model of the General Dynamics F-111 bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit. The masks are aimed at the engine exhaust nozzles, where they help to create a realistic look of metal and heat-stressed surfaces with a precise separation of the individual segments and petals.
The nozzles of jet engines have characteristic heat staining and different shades of metal. The pre-shaped masks let these transitions be sprayed cleanly and symmetrically, with no laborious measuring by hand. The set is tied to a particular model and the geometry of its nozzles.
