A set of photo-etched parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, aimed at the armament of the Soviet fighter MiG-23 Flogger in 1:48 scale. The photo-etched parts in thin metal sheet refine the pylons and the details of the missiles, bombs and other external stores, which come out simplified in plastic. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory for advanced detailing; the basic kit and the armament itself have to be bought separately.
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 is a Soviet single-engine fighter with a variable-geometry wing, taken into service at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. It was built in many versions for air combat and for attacks on ground targets and was widely exported. Its external stores included air-to-air guided missiles as well as unguided bombs and rocket pods.
Separate the small parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them in a metal bending tool. They are glued with super glue; larger areas can be fixed with epoxy. Degrease the metal parts before painting and pull a primer over them, so that the paint holds well.
This is a set of photo-etched parts, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
