A set of pre-cut masking templates for a model of the Mikoyan MiG-15 in 1:48 scale. You stick them on before spraying and take them off again once the paint has dried.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sharp transition between a clear part and the color of a cockpit frame is among the details everybody notices on a finished model. Cutting the outlines out of adhesive tape by hand is possible, but on a rounded canopy it takes a lot of time and each time it turns out slightly differently. Pre-cut templates shorten this work: the shape is finished and it is cut for the part the set is listed for. This set is in 1:48 scale and is listed for the Mikoyan MiG-15 aircraft.
The MiG-15 is a Soviet single-seat jet fighter from the end of the 1940s. Its recognition features are the swept wing, a short barrel-shaped fuselage with a nose air intake and a high-set horizontal tail. It is among the most numerously built jet aircraft of all and served in the armament of a number of states.
The templates are stuck onto a clean and degreased surface, and always before spraying. Press the edges down properly with a toothpick or a wooden stick, because it is precisely under an unpressed edge that paint runs. Spray in thin coats and let them set. Take a template off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch; under a mask left on too long the paint may come away as well when it is removed.
The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The extent of the coverage and the layout of the individual templates are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
