1:48 North-American Mustang Mk.IV SPACE is a set of three-dimensional decals from the Czech maker Eduard for the cockpit of a Mustang model in its British form, 1:48 scale.

This is not a kit of an aircraft, but an accessory for the cockpit. The SPACE line from the Czech maker Eduard builds on decals with a raised, three-dimensional surface: the dials, panels and switches are not merely a printed area but have real depth and glossy glass faces. The decal is applied straight onto the plastic part from the box, so painting the small instruments falls away. SPACE sets are usually accompanied by pre-painted seat belts in etched sheet; please check the particular contents of this package against the packaging and the enclosed instructions, as it is not itemized here.
The Mustang Mk.IV is the British designation for the late Mustangs with a teardrop canopy that the Royal Air Force took over during the Second World War. The basis was the American North American P-51 fighter with a license-built Merlin V12 engine and a two-stage supercharger. The combination of a clean aerodynamic shape, a large fuel load and a high-altitude engine made it an escort fighter with exceptional range. The teardrop canopy also removed the blind spot in the view to the rear.
First spray the plastic instrument panel part in a dark color and let it dry completely — the edges of the decal will then not show through. Moisten only the backing paper under the decal, transfer the part with tweezers onto the piece and press it down with a soft brush, but do not press hard on the raised features, so that the relief is not crushed. Fix it with white PVA glue; a decal softener does not belong here, as its chemistry attacks the printed resin. Fit the whole assembly before the fuselage is glued together and try the fit dry.
