1:48 P-38 F LIGHTNING - MASKY

Spray masks P-38F Lightning (1:48, HGW)

This is a set of self-adhesive spray masks for painting a model of the American P-38F Lightning fighter. It is neither a kit nor a model but an accessory intended for P-38F Lightning models in 1:48 scale. The masks follow the glazing frames and other areas exactly, so the laborious laying out of tape is no longer needed and the painting is crisp and clean.

The real subject

The P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine fighter of the Second World War with a distinctive twin-boom structure and a central nacelle for the pilot. The F version was among the early marks taken into combat.

Use

• The masks are peeled off the sheet and applied to the glazing and the designated areas.
• Press the edges down carefully, so that no paint runs under them.
• Spray in thin coats and remove the masks once the paint has dried.
• Cover the rest of the area with tape or with liquid mask.

Who it is for

• Modelers who want crisp paint transitions without laying out tape by hand.
• Collectors of American fighters of the Second World War in 1:48.

This is an accessory to a model, not a kit in its own right. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
