Hasegawa 1:48 P-51D Mustang is a plastic kit of the famous American fighter of the Second World War in the version of a land-based fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the North American P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Hasegawa, done as a fighter of the US Army Air Forces. The model offers finely engraved surfaces, a detailed cockpit and the distinctive bubble canopy of the D version. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The P-51 Mustang was a single-engined fighter with a long range, which fundamentally changed what was possible in escorting bombers over Europe. The P-51D version was marked by the bubble canopy for a better view and by six machine guns in the wings. It was powered by the Packard-Merlin V12 engine, which put the Mustang among the highest-performing fighters of its day.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and finish and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Apply a primer before the finish. Mustangs often wore bare polished metal — for such a surface, metallic paints or special metal lacquers applied with an airbrush onto a smooth base are the right choice. Use a gloss coat under the decals and unify the finish at the end with matte or semi-gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
