A resin figure of a pilot in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel, intended by theme for the British Hawker Tempest fighter. The airman in RAF kit will complete a model of the aircraft in a display case or become the focal point of an airfield diorama from the end of the Second World War.
The Hawker Tempest was among the fastest piston fighters of the close of the Second World War; it excelled at chasing V-1 flying bombs and in attacks on ground targets. Its pilots wore the typical kit of the Royal Air Force: leather flying helmets or caps, a life vest, a parachute harness and a flight suit. It is exactly these details that make a figure a credible accessory to a scene.
Wash the casting free of the mold release agent before painting; cut any lugs off and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint with acrylic paints and a brush: a base, shadows in the folds with the help of a wash and lightening of the edges with drybrushing. The gray-blue color of the RAF uniform together with the yellow life vest creates a striking accent of color beside a camouflaged aircraft.
