This is a set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s. It is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket set of markings for building a model of the Soviet Polikarpov Po-2 biplane (formerly the U-2). This release concentrates on captured machines, that is Po-2s taken and operated in foreign service.
The Po-2 (U-2) was a simple and tough biplane with a Shvetsov M-11 radial engine, originally a trainer and liaison aircraft. It became famous as a night harassment bomber and was built in enormous numbers. Captured machines appeared in the colors and markings of various countries, which used them for liaison and auxiliary duties.
The decals are intended for the widely available plastic models of the Po-2/U-2 in 1:48 scale. Apply them over a smooth gloss coat so that no silvering occurs; decal softeners help them settle. Unify the surface with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is a set of decals (aftermarket markings), not a model. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
