An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Azur. It is a modern tooling of this single-engined bomber focused on the version serving with the British Advanced Air Striking Force (AASF) in France at the start of the war. The set offers fine detail, clean engraving and decals for several markings.
The Fairey Battle was a British single-engined light bomber of the late 1930s. Modern when it appeared, by the start of the Second World War it proved slow and vulnerable, which showed tragically when the AASF units were sent over France in 1940. Even so it played an important part and later served for training as well.
With short-run tooling take care over cleaning the parts up and over exact fit; paint the cockpit before the fuselage is closed. Mask the large glazed areas carefully. Lay the base down with an airbrush over primer and bring the panel lines out with a wash. Choose one of the markings offered and give the areas under the decals a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
