This set is a resin accessory for the exhaust nozzles of a plastic kit of the American RA-5C Vigilante carrier-based reconnaissance aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail set that replaces the original nozzles of a kit with more faithful castings with fine relief of the inner and outer surfaces.
The North American RA-5C Vigilante was a large American twin-engine carrier-based aircraft, serving in the RA-5C version for long-range reconnaissance. It was marked by a slim fuselage and a pair of exhaust nozzles, whose faithful rendering markedly improves the impression the rear end of a model makes.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit with the rear end of the fuselage of the kit before installing them. Sand resin with respiratory protection. The inner surfaces of the nozzles come into their own once painted in suitable metallic shades and given a gentle patina that takes the heat staining into account.
